
A planned refinery to be built by state-owned oil companies Petroecuador and Petroleos de Venezuela will be just part of a $10 billion petrochemical complex, Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa said Thursday....Chavez calculated that the refinery alone will generate $2 billion a year in revenue, allowing the companies to recoup their estimated investment of $5 billion within a short time. He also said the refinery will process 300,000 barrels of crude a day.
