Venezuela 'regrets' incursion/ Venezuela " lamenta" incursión

In a release issued yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, the Guyana government received a six-member delegation from Venezuela led by the Vice Minister of External Relations, Rodolfo Sanz....In relation to the incident in the Cuyuni River, the release said that Sanz "expressed sincere regrets and assured that the incident had no political motive on the part of the Venezuelan Government." It added that to avoid similar occurrences in the future the two sides agreed to create bilateral mechanisms to address the issue of mutual concern.( full information)/ En un nota que se hizo pública ayer, el Ministerio de Asuntos Extranjeros informó que el martes 11 de diciembre de 2007, el gobierno de Guyana recibió a delegación de seis-miembros de Venezuela presidida por el vice Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Rodolfo Sanz... .En relación al incidente en el río de Cuyuni, el comunicado dice que Sanz "lamentó sinceramente lo sucedido y aseguró que el incidente no tenía ningún motivo político de parte del gobierno venezolano." Agregó que para evitar ocurrencias similares en el futuro los dos lados acordaban crear mecanismos bilaterales para tratar estos asuntos de preocupación mutua.
